About Us

Bible Discovery Outreach seeks to help people discover the truths of the Bible in ways that are understandable, applicable, and transformational. Our mission is to make clear the words of God so that all people, in all places, can come unto obedience and abundance in Christ.

Our Pillars of Outreach:

  • Teaching & Mentorship: we aim to teach others how to live in Christ through training & instruction, as well as mentor those who are walking in Christ in order to teach others.
  • Literature: we believe in the power of reading. To be able to read a book, highlight and make notes, and read again is an often-overlooked wonder. By producing literature teaching about God’s Word, we hope to empower individuals to participate in their walk with Christ through reading.
  • Missions & Outreach: Jesus commands his disciples in Matthew 28 to “make disciples of all nations.” We aim to be examples of Christ in any arena, from mission trips abroad to community humanitarian work, displaying the character of Christ wherever we go (overturning of tables not included).

Dr. Michael D. Wedman

Head of Bible Discovery Outreach, Michael Wedman lives in Union, Washington where he is the lead pastor of New Community Church of Union. He received his B.A. in Pastoral Ministry from Briercrest Bible College in Caronport, Saskatchewan, Canada. After pastoring several churches throughout Western Canada, Michael returned to school, earning his Masters of Christian Study from Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia.

God’s plan took Michael, his wife Val, and their two daughters to the United States, where he pastored a church while earning his Doctorate of Ministry – Interpreting and Communicating the Bible from Talbot School of Theology, Biola University in La Mirada, California.

Michael has a love for teaching and preaching, serving as an adjunct professor of theology & practical ministry skills at Reach Training Institute – North Sound for four years before stepping back to pursue his passion for missions and outreach. Discovery Bible Outreach is the manifestation of Michael’s drive to teach and mentor people from all over the world and all walks of life.
